Pertaining to psychology Essay

An article in Psychology Today seeing the ideas of liquor addiction as an innate factor is broke down and talked about with credits to logical realities and measurable cases. Composed by the Psychology Today staff, the article; Is It In The Genes? Headed to drink: Does liquor abuse run in the family?, starts by announcing that 60% of heavy drinkers have in any event on alcoholic parent. Given this number, the inquiry is then raised with regards to whether the â€Å"disease† is brought about by â€Å"wayward qualities or lost dreams.† Though asserted as a riddle, the article portends an answer by expressing that reviews state the two sides might be correct. The article expresses that agents have reasoned that there are two kinds of heavy drinkers among men †those with beginnings to liquor maltreatment before the age of 25, and those whose sickness advances at later periods throughout everyday life. Of these two sorts, those with the early beginnings are progressively disposed to have occurrence of family related liquor addiction, which recommends a hereditary inclination. Incredibly, this specific gathering is expressed to include 40% of the evaluated million male heavy drinkers in the United States. To be expected in any case, this gathering is most normally connected with rough conduct. On the opposite finish of the scale, the men who have appeared to get alcoholic further down the road show a shared trait of less family inclusion. Their maltreatment is ascribed more to a looked for alleviation from stress as well as nervousness. Given these outcomes, and the chance of hereditary inclinations, many examination considers have been directed with an end goal to single out a typical chromosomal imperfection. Fingers have been pointed at a quality which influences the capacity of synapses to react to dopamine, which is accepted to be an explanation that drunkards misuse liquor †an ignorant exertion to support dopamine levels. Different convictions influence toward what is known as a â€Å"mean gene† that hinders the correct activities of serotonin, a concoction energizer in the mind. As these investigations and the scientists who have closed them banter about the real guilty party, an ongoing conclusion has been announced by Frederick K. Goodwin, M.D. who is the leader of the National Institute of Mental Health. Per the article, Goodwin states that there might be more than one single quality engaged with liquor abuse, much equivalent to with diabetes. Goodwin likewise accepts that future examination may finish up a typical hereditary inclination to a total host of addictions of any range. In total, Goodwin accepts there might be an ongoing theme among all addicts, yet that particular qualities may sustain certain cases. Relating to brain science, this article is an awesome method of bringing up the issues of mental issues in compulsion. It repudiates the reality that liquor abuse, or dependence inside and out, is carefully an order of the mind which can be defeated through mental treatment. This article gives straightforward, yet compact models and insights which announce the chance of inherited inclinations to liquor dependence, consequently precluding a solid chance of mental imperfection. In spite of the fact that it could be contended that a mental inclination could be hereditarily obvious, the ideas of innate variables seem, by all accounts, to be increasingly steady of hereditary cosmetics and not educated conduct, which is a typical conviction toward liquor abuse in European social orders. This article is educational of the latest methodologies toward the diagnostics of liquor addiction, and concerning where the advanced understandings of its sickness are inferred. In indisputable response, this specific article is instructive to the individuals who are both mindful of the elements and attributes of heavy drinkers and those totally uninformed of the issue. I am satisfied with its substance, order, and by and large movement of issue. List of sources: The PT Staff;â Psychology Today †Is It In the Genes? My Public and Private School Experience Professor Ramos Blog

My Public and Private School Experience Photograph by Ã¥' ¨ Ã¥ º · on Pexels.com At the point when I began school I was a kindergartner at Calvary Christian School. It is a tuition based school with around 200-300 understudies. I went from kindergarten until my first year was finished. The clothing regulation was a red, white, or blue polo shirt with a Navy Gabardine Box Pleated Jumper or Hamilton Plaid Knife Pleated Jumper for young ladies from kinder to eighth grade. The young men wore similar shirts with Navy Hawthorne Pleated pants from kinder to senior year. When a young lady arrived at ninth twelfth grade they would wear skirts. The school subjects didn't have an assortment to browse. Book of scriptures, Math, History, Science, P.E. what's more, Fine Arts were the principle classes gave. We as a whole took similar classes together while not having the choice of taking any ap classes. I joined the volleyball crew however because of my evaluations my ninth grade year I was unable to play and I discovered on the most recent day of school that I would need to take summer school or get kept down. My folks didn’t take that well at all and chose to take me out. I was stunned about the news and started to stress over what will occur for the following school year and were I would join in. Fortunately my mother works for the Beaumont school area and I got transfered over to Beaumont High School on the grounds that at the time we were living in Banning Ca. I realized that getting changed in accordance with another school and individuals would have been nerve wracking however I will increase another experience I never had and I may wind up preferring it. Beaumont High School had around 2,000-3,000 understudies, no clothing standard restrictions, advocates and an assortment of classes to take. The primary day of secondary school came around I was anxious yet energized. At the point when I prepared I wore a high contrast shirt with light blue shorts and a few vans. The main day was somewhat humiliating on the grounds that my fly was down the whole time and I never saw it until I dressed out for P.E. despite the fact that we weren’t even expected to dress out. As the many months passed by I felt progressively agreeable, I became acclimated to it rapidly and made new companions en route. What I found out about assorted variety from my perspective was the change and the adjustment I would need to make. I feel that change is excellent on the grounds that it can enable you to develop, offer new chances, it can show progress and fresh starts. Others have helped me with support about going to government funded school. My family would discuss a few things they experienced. My Aunt Anita specifically disclosed to me that she needed to get changed in accordance with secondary school when she went while being in open every last bit of her life. She said â€Å" Everyone experiences various stages throughout their life and beginning of secondary school is one of them and you will get past it and it will be a breeze as time goes on.† I contemplate my circumstance was helpful in light of the fact that I got a look of what a portion of my family have experienced and furthermore one of my companions that was right now going to Calvary Christian School. Sarah Weeks and I were the main ones that remained at that school until secondary school and we generally thought we were going to graduate together. I went to her graduation and it was insane seeing her up their and acknowledging we are completing secondary school independently. We were both upbeat and pitiful that we didn’t graduate together however in particular were still companions and still think back on the seemingly insignificant details that occurred consistently. What I gained the most from going to both of these schools is that you can succeed any place you proceed to even now learn new things in the process you simply must be resolved any place you proceed to gain from it. I accept that my experience can show others what sort of progress I experienced and it wound up being extremely constructive than I suspected and individuals ought to be available to it in various circumstances and they should step out of their usual range of familiarity once in for a spell since you can pick up something out of it and can likewise share your own story to others whether it be positive or negative in light of the fact that each experience is unique. I have consistently thought about how extraordinary it would be in the event that I went to state funded school first and in the end being set in a tuition based school since it would be a totally different experience and simply changing in accordance with another routine would set aside effort for me to become accustomed to. My sister was set in tuition based school for about a year and afterward began out in the open and will keep on going there. She is in the principal grade at the present time, however its intriguing to know how unique both of our encounters were from every others. I would express going to state funded school has helped me gotten open to meeting new individuals and conversing with others. I was extremely bashful and to myself more often than not yet inevitably persuaded the fortitude to be all the more cordial. I think setting off to the non-public school for such a long time I was at that point used to everybody so I wasn’t as modest and to myself since I knew a ton of the individuals at such a youthful age. It was hard from the start since I didn’t know anybody from bhs and I needed to put myself progressively out there and I truly didn’t need to. By opening myself to others I felt like they were truly understanding who I am and what kind of individual I was which made everything positive. Going to totally various schools is hard yet it is possible on the off chance that you put yourself out there you may need to change somethings in your day by day life than you are utilized to yet it very well may be gainful to you and give you another point of view like the school themes, clothing regulation and the various sorts of individuals you experience.

18 Powerful Ways to Build Your Mental Toughness

18 Powerful Ways to Build Your Mental Toughness Mental toughness is something worth having. But as with many other great things in life, desiring it is not going to make you have it. There has to be an effort towards its realization.Other words which could be used as synonyms of mental toughness are resilience and tenacity. These two synonyms are really what distinguishes between mentally tough people and those who are not. The mentally tough achieve their goals while those who are not, can only dream and desire.Which category are you in?This article seeks to encourage you to know that mental toughness is not a preserve of the elite few. Those seemingly few mentally tough people just developed the skill. It may be that they started early, maybe with the help of their parents, thus you never saw them struggle. Maybe, as is usually the case with many successful people, they struggled but you just never got to know about it.The thing about building yourself up is that it most certainly distances you from the company you used to keep. Therefore, some people may just “disappear” then “re-appear” later basking in success and you wonder what happened.Unless it is a story involving criminal activities, you can bet that those people were away working on themselves and their businesses. That is why successful people offer much advice that seems difficult to those yet to decide that they will do what needs to be done.Make the right choice today. Do not just listen to inspiring stories of success and remain the same. Do something about it. Start by doing things differently as described below and go up the ladder.TIPS FOR MENTAL TOUGHNESS1. Be in controlIf you are to become mentally tough, then you need to learn how to be in control. In this case, you’re being in control mainly of yourself.Control is a critical ingredient for mental toughness and general success. Controlling how you think ranks highest among the important things to learn how to do. When you can control your thoughts, many other things flow quite smoothly. The very nature of life makes sure that being in control is not easy. This happens through the many uncertainties which constitute of life. Still, there will always be something you can control. And most of the variables are within your abilities. For example, there may be news that the economy is about to go down. This will automatically make many people be filled with fear, become stressed and even probably take measures like selling some of their property. But did you know that there is another option? There will always be other options. You could decide to simply cut down on your expenses and hold on to your property just in case things get better. If you have a family, you can communicate this with them and you all agree on cost cutting measures. So, while many are stressed and glued to their TV screens for updates on when the economy will finally crash, you are planning for those hard times ahead. This planning will keep you in much control over the situation because yo u thought ahead of time.2. Stop thinking about things you cannot changeWhen you’re in control of yourself, you will know that you can only change matters to do with yourself. Other things can potentially be changed but it’s never a guarantee. Most situations come up as problems which need to be solved and solutions are usually in the form of changing the situation. However, there are situations which cannot really change yet they are a bother to you. A hindrance to your success. What do you do about them? You are the one to change. You might need to change your perspective towards that situation. This way, you put your efforts and thinking energy to proper use. On the other hand, if you think of the unchangeable situation as it currently is, then you simply waste time and energy.Whenever you come across situations which you cannot change, just change your view of them. Look at them from a different perspective and you will soon see how to tackle them. Or how to turn them around fo r your good.3. See failures as training groundYou will never be able to avoid failure, at least not if you are going to achieve anything in life. Before you succeed, you have to fail. The earlier you realize this truth the better it will be for you. With that knowledge, it is therefore of great importance that you learn how to see failures in the right perspective. It is imperative for you to understand that when you fail, it is not a sign that you are headed for total defeat. Rather, it is a sign that you are working towards a goal. The correct way of looking at failure is as vital training ground. When you fail, take it as a great opportunity to learn an important lesson. Avoid the perspective held by many that failure is bad and should not happen. This is a lie based on a misunderstanding of failure.Such lines of thinking also tend to be pursuing perfectionism in some way. Even if it is in small, almost undetectable amounts. Any time you pursue perfectionism, you are bound to get f rustrated because that is one goal you will never achieve. But when you fail and realize that it is not the end, it becomes easy for you to bounce back onto the field and play on. Failure is therefore not an enemy but a friendly stepping stone. Just have the right perspective towards it.4. Celebrate others (dont resent others success)What do you do when you see your competitor succeed and you are still failing? If you are like many people, you will start hating them. This hatred works like a boomerang. You send it to others and it comes right back where it started and it affects you. How?When you resent those who are doing better than you are, you become jealous. More than that, you lose much sleep worrying that they are better than you are. You forget and under-value your strengths and unique abilities. You only see yourself as not good enough. This causes negative thinking which has a direct negative effect on your chances of succeeding in any endeavor. On the other hand, when you ce lebrate those who succeed and respect those who show mental toughness, you get inspired. You get inspired to work harder and become successful too. This inspiration will lead you to research and learn whatever needs to be learned so that you can achieve your goal.Celebrating other people’s success also proves to you that success is possible. This is crucial because it is possible that you have a very big goal that you want to achieve. The size of this goal may have scared you or your friends at some point and doubt may have crippled you.But when you see other people achieving their goals, then you get encouraged to push forward to achieve yours too. You reason that if so and so were able to do it, then so can you. And indeed you will.5. Don’t complain; provide a solutionsWeak-minded people are always complaining about everything. They are quick to spot errors and make them known. But at the heart of their talk is nothing but an attempt to show how bad things are.Complainers usua lly blow things out of proportion. This is one reason why such people rarely succeed in anything big.To be mentally tough, you have to desist from being a complainer. And the best way to do it is by cultivating a habit of working towards providing solutions. Seek those who are like-minded among your friends and work with them.If you can’t find anyone, prepare to work on a solution by yourself. This will really set you apart and may even put you in conflict with some people. That should however be the least of your worries. Just remember that you are developing mental toughnessâ€"a trait not common among complainers.6. Dont seek to impress othersIf you want to become mentally tough, don’t try to develop a fan base. If you seek to have many fansâ€"people who love youâ€"then you will not be able to stand on your own. Those fans will always, or at least to a very large extent, determine how far you can go.Be comfortable with yourself and your abilities. The world around you is const antly seeking to pull you in to its mediocrity. Though unfortunate, it is true that there are way more mediocre people than those operating in excellence.Naturally, we all want and need approval. But the problem is that everyone is busy doing their own things that they don’t have time for you. Parents don’t have time for children; spouses don’t have time for one another etc. So people seek attention and approval from elsewhere. But the problem is that if you need approval from someone, then you must do what that person demands you do. And you must do it the way he wants it. Then he will say you’re “Ok.” If you want him to praise you then you have to exceed his expectations. The question is: just when will you live your life if you’re constantly trying to please someone else? When will you develop yourself enough to become a consultant in your field? When will you implement that business idea, grow it, become an employer of many and help alleviate poverty? The person or pe ople demanding that you do something their way, are just seeking glory without having to work for it. They will be the ones labeled as successful. Yet it will be their vision you are building and not yours. If you have a vision or any goal you want to achieve, just be sure about it then pursue it. Relentlessly.7. Take responsibilityThis is key if you are to become or achieve anything in life. As long as as you feel like the world owes you something, then you are bound to remain downtrodden. If you decide that just because you pay taxes that your government owes you a good life, then you have missed it.Continue along this line and you will soon think that someone should be keeping your backyard clean yet you live alone. As much as you can hire someone, you will be developing a very dangerous trait called laziness. With that trait, mental toughness remains a mirage. When you take responsibility, you recognize that you are the one on whom success depends. You therefore have to take actio n so as to achieve it. You will see the urgency of the matter because we have all wasted so much time in our past.Taking responsibility goes on to help you redeem some time. When problems arise and people are talking about it and passing blame, you are already thinking of a solution. And you will definitely come up with one and go ahead to implement it. Even if you will do it alone, you will still do it.Taking responsibility starts small and grows over time. You will need to develop some discipline and make it a habit. You may start with something small like your own office. Keep your desk neat and orderly. Check your computer desktop. Is it cluttered? It may be hampering your productivity by making it difficult to locate files saved on your desktop. Why not create folders and save documents in the relevant folders?Taking responsibility simple means that you know it’s your job. When you face a difficult situation, you will know that it is your job to come up with a solution. You wi ll share it with others and work with them to implement. If you are alone, you will go ahead and implement it.Soon enough, others will see the sense of what you are doing and join you. This is how great leadership develops. Great leaders see a problem and decide to be the solution. They commit themselves to it then others celebrate them, knowing little of the struggles that go on behind the scenes.8. Overcome fearFear may be an emotion or a feeling. But that’s just as far as science goes. When you are pursuing a vision, you will realize that fear is a serious obstacle. It’s not a mere feeling that comes and goes.Fear stands in front of you and says, “You can’t go past this point,” and stays put. If you challenge it hard enough, it changes to “You won’t go past this point.”Most people stop at the first statement. Others are able to get to the second one. But considering the effort involved, very few still push to the point of going past the second statement. To be men tally tough, you need to decide that you want to become one of these very few who push further.Fighting and overcoming fear is not a single event but an ongoing process. And as with many other ways of building mental toughness, you will do best to start small then build up capacity gradually.Identify your everyday small fears. Are you afraid that making dinner will waste you a lot of time? Cleaning up your home will leave your back aching? Working an extra hour will make you lose a lot of sleep? Addressing the fight between two employees will make you lose their friendship?Whatever your fear is, remember it is an obstacle that proudly declares that you cannot remove it from it’s established position. Don’t you want to become a conqueror? Don’t you want to be a winner?Decide to challenge fear and take it down. You will then have what it takes to take on more difficult obstacles because you will be having a record of successes. This will also be a big confidence boostâ€"somethin g that naturally strengthens you.Watch the below video for some motivation to overcome fear. 9. Make winning your goalThere can only be two outcomes: winning or losing. Nothing lies between these two. Both winning and losing are absolutes, so there are no scales of 1 to 10 or other similar ways of looking at them.Of course, success is gradual and building it means you will lose some things and gain others. The losing we are talking about here is the one that comes from giving up. Stopping the work towards your goals.Making winning your goal is about first of all setting a goal. You may for example decide that you want to make one hundred bucks in two months. In that case, then you make up your mind that you won’t settle for anything less.Winning is never easy. So you will have to wake up early enough. Probably earlier than usual. Prepare yourself and leave for your business. Diligently work on the plans you set. Ensuring that you remove all forms of distractions from your mind reg ardless of how much fun some of them bring you.The same advice applies here: start small. If you want to build a big house and the calculations say that you need one hundred bucks every two months, then check if you can really manage it with your current lifestyle or habits. If the adjustment required is too much, then you better adjust your dream otherwise you will end up frustrated. If your idea of a big house cannot be reduced, then increase the time you will need to build it. Whatever the case, change something but keep the goal.Breaking things down ensures your goals are realistic to your current abilities. After breaking things down, set the small daily and weekly goals then run with those. Don’t think too much of the big dream but be consistent with the everyday goals. They will quickly add up to the ultimate goal.10. Check your companyThey say you are what you eat. It is also true that you are who your friends are.Since not many people are mentally strong and it takes a lot of effort to develop this ability, you can be sure you will stand out. But that’s just the beautiful result of fighting to the very end. Are you aware that there are potential pitfalls along the way?Never underestimate the friends you keep. They determine a lot. From your level of knowledge, your reasoning patterns, style of talking and dressing etc. In fact, your friends largely affect how much success you attain in life.Hanging around the same people you used to hang around and expecting to become mentally tough? That won’t happen. This is serious work that you must invest in. It is a result that needs work in order to be achieved. The moment you embark on this journey, you will arouse jealousy from some of your friends. Some will become angry because they can sense that you will become better than them. They certainly know that the journey you are taking will land you where they cannot reach you.If you start this process, you will soon have no time for your friends. Are you r eady for that? Are you willing to have fewer friends, or no friends at all in the mean time so as to develop this ability? You are essentially making them uncomfortable because they would rather you keep them company as consolation that mediocrity is universal. But woe unto you if you give in to their pressure. You would rather lose them and as soon as you achieve mental toughness, you will gain others who are at the same level as you are.You just have to make a choice: your current friends (and your mental weakness) versus mental toughness (and new friends who will make you more mentally tough).11. Practice delayed gratificationRarely will you gain any success if you satisfy all your desires immediately they show up. Delayed gratification is necessary as it ensures you maintain focus in what you want to achieve. There is a famous experiment done on kids to show delayed gratification. These kids were to either eat a marshmallow which they have been given or wait for some minutes then receive another one so they can have two.You may refer to the things that come to get you out of your way to success as distractions. You may even call them temptations. Whichever way, they need to be ignored or removed. Mental toughness dictates that you should restrain yourself for whatever duration necessary so that you enjoy the best results later. This does not mean that life will become boring and uneventful. Developing mental toughness means that you will be able to make sound judgment. When presented with a situation, you will be able to better assess it and decide what you want to achieve. You can have all the fun you want. In fact, if you have developed mental toughness and you decide to indulge, you will never feel guilty. Why? You know that you are the one controlling the situation and not the other way round. You know that if you wanted, you could have said “No.” Moreover, the current indulgence may as well be a reward you are giving yourself for achieving your goals. In that case, go ahead and indulge, just don’t lose the control you have developed. Losing it is easier than developing it.12. Be optimisticDo you always see the possibilities or impossibilities? If you say both, then which is more often?Optimism is important if you are to attain mental toughness. When you are optimistic, it simply means that the situation you are facing can be dealt with. As long as it is possible, then you can come up with a solution. But if you see it as an impossibility, then there won’t even be a need to try. That makes you disappointed that you are facing an impossibility and more so, you feel that you are stuck. If you feel, and soon thereafter believe that you are stuck, you are bound to give up. And mentally strong people don’t give up.Your journey towards mental strength is going to be like climbing a hill. It is a hill and not a mountain first of all because you are starting small. Secondly, because you have to be optimistic. Even if it is a mountain , just see it as a big hill or a very tall hill. How you see it matters a lot. Tell a friend that you are going to climb some hills and he may excitedly join you. Tell him that you are going to climb a mountain and the response will be very different. You may get questions about how fit you are, whether you have any experience, fully equipped with a first aid kit etc. As important as those considerations are, that is rarely what is of utmost importance. Do you think you can climb the mountain? If your answer is “Yes,” then you’re good to go.13. Control your emotionsEmotions are a part of you. You don’t have to be a woman to be in touch with your emotions. Those who say that men should not show any emotion are ignorantly plotting the ruin of men.Of course men should not be cry babies, but they should definitely not hide their emotions. Those emotions are there to help them connect with other people. It is a basic part of being human. The important thing to note about emotions is that you need to first of all be aware of them. Then know how to keep them in check. In view of this, it will also be crucial to know that other people may not be able to do the same. And those form the bulk of the society. For example, the people who burst out in anger because someone did something wrong are not in control of their emotions. This control is so vital that it forms one of the most important ingredients of great leadership. It is more commonly referred to as emotional intelligence. When you are emotionally intelligent, you are aware of what you feel and can tell what other people feel. You can restrain your responses so as to prevent a bad situation from getting worse. How is this important? For example, you may be working on something and you suddenly get into an argument with a friend or colleague. You r colleague throws some hurtful words your way and you obviously start boiling in anger. Up to that point, all is quite OK because anger is a normal feeling. However, wh at matters most is your response. If you respond in kind, you may get physical and lose an entire day of productivity. You may also lose a couple of teeth and some money in settling hospital bills. Not to mention your job. What if you restrained yourself and even apologized? The results will be amazing. You will of course avoid the above and more importantly, get time to continue with your work. With that, you will more likely finish your work on time and celebrate your own victory.Do you see how you got success from the better response? Your mind was strong enough to resist an emotional outburst which could have caused a lot of unforeseen problems. It is also possible that you will make your colleague see the sense of your apology and reciprocate. It will therefore be a win-win situation for both of you. Believe it or not, you will also gain some respect from your colleague and anyone else who witnessed the situation.Watch the below video for some insight on how to handle people who irritate you. 14. Be calm under pressureLife is full of pressure from all directions and the more you have on your plate of responsibilities, the more this is the case. And what happens when you are under pressure? You get stressed.A little stress is usually good as it powers you through tasks but when it is in large amounts, it becomes dangerous. It is even more dangerous when it becomes chronic as it could lead to anxiety and depression. Prevention is always better than cure. But what if you cannot prevent stress?Stress is something that cannot be avoided but has to be managed. The best way to get started with managing stress is to practise staying calm when pressure mounts around you. Whether it is pending bills or incomplete tasks, you just have to practise staying calm. When you develop this ability, you will realize some very quick benefits. First of all, you will be able to avoid much stress because you have not allowed it inside you. As long as you haven’t allowed worry to take over your thinking, you stay objective in your reasoning. This is the basis of solving problems in stressful situations. When everyone else is pulling their hair and becoming angry, you will be able to think through the situation with relative peace of mind. Maintain this mode of operation and you will become immune to the effects of stress. With low levels of stress, you will be better at solving problems, calming storms and putting out fires in the office. These are some of the qualities of great leaders. They are also some of the tell-tale signs that someone is good enough for a higher position.Did you know that those who occupy higher positions work less (physically) but earn more? They get paid for their abilities to give strategic advice and solve difficult problems. These same people are highly diplomatic and rarely lose their cool. They have simply developed mental toughness.15. Exercise your mindJust as your body’s muscles grow, so does your brain, only that your brainâ €™s growth is slightly different. Your brain grows by increasing in the number of neurons. This happens especially when you learn new things. When you exercise your mind, you improve your ability to do many things. These include remembering more clearly. For mental toughness, brain exercises help you learn how to solve problems through various ways.Exercising your mind essentially teaches you how to consider different angles to a situation, how to anticipate otherwise unexpected turns etc. This way, you will be more prepared to handle the unexpected situations which are a normal part of life. These exercises improve the core functioning of your brain. As such, you become able to concentrate for longer without coffee, remember more clearly, perform calculations without a calculator etc. These seemingly small benefits are what make you capable of handling more demanding tasks when everyone else has given up. When other people’s strength is gone, you remain to be the only one standing. This is the one defining characteristic of mental toughness.By the way, some of the brain exercises come in the form of games so you can have fun as you learn.16. Be determinedDetermination is the ability to stay on course despite the circumstances not being favorable. It is the fuel that drives winning. You can never win if you are not determined. One way to develop determination is by knowing the value of what you want to achieve.Once the value of your goal is clear in your mind, then you can fix your eyes on it. Allowing no distraction to come between you and your goal, you will push right through every obstacle that shows up. You will do everything that needs to be done so as to get past the challenges. This resolve is very powerful as it carries many other aspects of mental toughness with it. For example, when you are determined, you will always be optimistic that what you want to achieve is possible. You will also not complain about the situation. You know that you will remove t he obstacle, go through it, around it or whichever other way possible. The important thing is that nothing will stop you. This is what brought about the below quote:“If you cant fly then run, if you cant run then walk, if you cant walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” Martin Luther King Jr.17. Be flexibleChange is the only constant. Although on the surface this statement is an oxymoron, it paints the picture that change will always be happening. So how are you to respond to it especially considering that change often reduces your plans to nothing?Flexibility or adaptability is the answer. When you are flexible, you know that you may be required to change your plans any time. You may have come up with the best plans but the situation changes and your plan is no longer valid. Personal Statement Personal Assessment - 917 Words

Personal Assessment I really want to start this off by saying thank you, Jenna, for being one of the greatest professors I have had at FAU and one of the greatest acting teachers I have had during my eleven years of theatrical training. During my last three classes with you, I have learned so much about acting and theatre, but so much more about myself. Religious skepticism among a large portion of the youth Free Essays

The â€Å"conventional† God is what the youth today does not believe in. That is what has led them to Atheism , Agnosticism et cetera. The youth no longer wants to do what they are told to do without question. We will write a custom essay sample on Religious skepticism among a large portion of the youth or any similar topic only for you Order Now They want to stand up and question beliefs. They want to think for their own. Religion is not a methodical approach to life which one must follow in order to reach his or her desired goal. Religion is more than that. Religion is a way of life. Religion has to relate o a person on an individual level, because religion is all about belief. Every person has different beliefs. This is why different religions formed in the first place. Belief creates perception. And perception creates experience. Hence religion is directly based on belief. Hence someone else’s belief cannot be adopted by a person as their own belief. This is the very reason the youth has questioned the act of following others’ beliefs and following a rigid set of rules. It has also been seen that many people who realize that there’s something missing, a link that Just isn’t there. These very people, who at a period in their lives were completely involved in â€Å"worldly matters†, go in search of that link. These could be youth, or even people in As an example, youths have become a part of religious organizations in search of that missing link. Many such organizations exist all over the world. What led these youths to make the drastic change in their life was the very fact that they were not ready to accept someone else’s beliefs. I will elaborate my view about the youth and the believers and beliefs that they find that anyone might find absurd. These very â€Å"rituals† and â€Å"superstitions† are thought of y the youth as the cause of the lack of belief in religion. In a majority of Hindu society, at many festivals, a coconut is offered to the deity by smashing the coconut in front of an idol. Now, I myself have known of this ritual, and have even taken part in practicing it many times. Whereas the very reason of this offering or the very significance of it, it was not known by many people I asked. The practice in itself is very symbolic. Before cracking it open, the whole outer layer of the coconut is shaven off, signifying getting rid of all desires except the desire to realize Ruth, which the small bit signifies. Now the outer shell is cracked open, revealing the pure white milk inside, signifying the purity inside, exposing it. Then the last bit of the outer covering is shaven off, signifying renunciation of the last desire, exposing the three holes in the coconut, symbolizing the three eyes, the third eye being the eye of wisdom. If we take another example, religious practices like â€Å"Sati†4 are widely boycotted in modern society. These might be thought of as having a religious origin, and because people are against them now, they are thought to be unreasonable. Even when people try to find the reason behind these practices, they seldom succeed. The answer in such cases is known by very few people. It is observed that people in one religion many a times do as someone with religious authority asks them to blindly, or they fool themselves by making themselves believe that whatever they are being told makes sense. Due to this, the youth thinks that all religious means is praying and following a set of rules, not freedom. But religion could be far from that. Thus what they despise is not religion, but thoughtless action, doing things blindly. That might be religion for some, but it cannot be assumed that that is religion for all. This is why some people break off from organized religion, and start their inner journey, their inner search for something. Some of these people find on their path people like them, people who do not believe in thoughtless 3 4 as defined by The Oxford Dictionary the former Hindu practice of a widow throwing herself on to her husband’s funeral pyre. Of 7 action, and connect with them. These people also have a religion. Their belief, their religion may be called by the same name as some other people’s, but it is not the name thing as theirs. It also so happens that the religions or religious sects that are usually broken off from have rules that are to be adhered to. Whereas places that satisfied and happy people end up in are relatively relaxed. This happens beca use every person’s religious Journey is his very own, not someone else’s. It can play out encouraged to do what the youth is doing, encouraged to question everything. They will only find their way if they get out of their comfort zone and try to. Conformity and fear of failing or doing something wrong prevents people from seeking the truth. These practices have always been a part of their lives, but they have not been able to find out why. This is what leads the youth to think that these religious practices, and hence religion, is mindless. But a number of people cannot represent religion as a whole, as and religious beliefs and practices are very diverse, and are different for everyone. For some, every ritual and practice holds significance and meaning, whereas for some it doesn’t. Often, we know only of the latter, causing us to form opinions of that religion based on the people we see. There are also sciences like Nasty† and â€Å"Fen Shut† that are believed by some to be precise, but regarded by others as unnecessary or fake and deceptive, as pseudo sciences. What happens is, sciences like these originally were literally sciences. They worked on the basis of reason. If, according to Vast, the windows should be placed in a certain part of the house, or the flow of water should be in a certain direction, it is to provide cross ventilation and to increase efficiency and the flow of positive energy throughout an indoor space. Another idea that doesn’t appeal to many people is the idea of renunciation and raying, surrendering yourself † as in Hinduism or Buddhism for example. But this is an idea; not a compulsion. This is an idea that has worked for some, not a compulsory decision or a command. This doesn’t mean that religion is only for people who will completely leave everything; because not everyone will – not everyone can. When it happens that someone really gives up Worldly duties’, or when someone renounces things, they do not control themselves from being a part of the ‘illusion’ or ‘Mama’s but they simply understand that it is temporary, thus there is no point in eating attached to temporary dualities. For the renounces, it is not a struggle to stay away from the illusion; it is the only way forward † something they would want to do, and be happy doing. Maya is defined as the illusion or appearance of the world perceptible by the senses or through immediate experience 5 of 7 Everyone has their own interpretation of everything, thus making it impossible for many people to follow exactly a set of rules; the meaning of words, especially when it comes to matters of religion or spirituality, cannot be interpreted in th e exact same way † for no two people think alike. This gives rise to personalization to suit every individual, only people do not realize that they are allowed to personalizes. The very reason people decide not to be religious is because they think that religion dictates. It dictates their life and their choices. My experience of studying World Religions has made it possible for me to think more broadly. I have read and talked to different people about how many religions like they could be when put into practice by different people due to their own different interpretations. This course has vastly influenced, and helped form my view of religion as it is today. It has also encouraged me to take interest in spirituality and religion. Starbucks Keeps It Brewing in Asia Essay Example For Students

Starbucks Keeps It Brewing in Asia Essay Case 2-1 – Starbucks Keeps it Brewing in Asia 1. There are several barriers facing Starbucks as they try to â€Å"teach† people to change their consumption habits from tea to coffee. The most obvious being that tea is the most common drink in China. The Chinese view tea to be both medicinal and beneficial, whereas coffee does not have the same value to the Chinese. In addition to this, one has to take into consideration the vast area of China; it would be very difficult to get coffee to the more rural areas of the country. Not only that, they have less familiarity with coffee and don’t have as much money to spend on the more expensive beverage. Lastly, the vast majority of the Chinese market who drink coffee are accustom to instant coffee. Having them change to brewed coffee could prove to be a long and arduous task. 2. Starbucks could customize or remake some of their existing products to make them less expensive and more attune to China’s taste, which would be sweeter beverages. They may even want to look into making their own form of instant coffee to go along with their individual bag of beans they sell for consumers to brew at home. We will write a custom essay on Starbucks Keeps It Brewing in Asia specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now Perhaps they could also look into creating and adding more emphasis on their tea beverages because they don’t just sell coffee. By expanding their tea products, they could lure more customers in who may be interested in trying coffee. However, the risk of customization can affect the quality of their product and cause their products to be more expensive. They need to make these changes without losing their Starbucks image. 3. There are many values that one can call the Starbucks â€Å"experience†. I think Starbucks takes special considerations upon themselves with particular values that they strive to uphold. The first one that comes to mind is status, they are thought of as higher end coffee than other brands, which also factors in quality and freshness. The atmospheres of the shops are a huge factor in the Starbucks experience. They want to have you feel invited and at home. They do this by providing couches in most stores, tables with electrical outlets for people to use portable electronics, free internet access and friendly people behind the counter to help you with your order. It is these values that Starbucks abides by to allow their customers to feel the Starbucks â€Å"experience†. 4. Type of Group – Target innovators in the group as well as the younger population Type of Decision – Make it a one on one experience Marketing Effort – Regional promotions and coffee’s benefits Fulfillment of Felt Need – Raise customer value, coffee benefits, cultural connection Compatibility – Offer more tea products Relative Advantage – Store location Complexity – Sell ready-made coffee, so customers don’t have to brew their own (when then buy and bring it home). Observability – In collaboration with the marketing effort, show people enjoying the coffee. Trialability – Free samples, promotions. Perceived Risk – Eliminate this with the trialability. 5. With the 10 factors that influence the spread of innovations stated above, there are many things Starbucks could do to successfully encourage greater coffee consumption. Firstly, they will want to gain acceptance from the Chinese market as coffee being an acceptable substitute for tea. To get their name out there, they could sponsor large events that not only focus on the younger generations, but all generations. In addition to that, by giving out free samples and good promotions, such as buy a cup, get a pastry free, they allow the customer to see no harm in trying their product. .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3 , .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3 .postImageUrl , .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3 , .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3:hover , .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3:visited , .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3:active { border:0!important; } .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3:active , .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3 .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u7b155b0d6f3df870f1c622cbd20cf5e3:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: CHILD ABUSE EssayBy eliminating this perceived risk, Starbucks could penetrate into this market, not only with coffee, but tea products as well. 6. To develop an effective marketing strategy for taking Starbucks into smaller Chinese cities and communities, we have to look at the 4 P’s; Product, Price, Place and Promotion. For the product, they should emphasize on great taste as well as several tea options. As far as price is concerned, Starbucks needs to lower their prices, have good promotions and more regional focus. Location is most important for placement, so setting up stores in areas with a lot of traffic would be ideal. Lastly, for promotion, they need to stress awareness of coffee and heavily advertise the product. Even with an effective marketing strategy, there could still be several barriers. These barriers would be the price of the product itself, operating on lower profit margins and the potential lack on people willing to try coffee. With all of this in mind, there is still potential for success in smaller Chinese cities and communities. However, they would have to prove to be successful in larger cities and areas before committing to such an extensive operation in more rural areas. 7. There are many demographic, cultural and media factors that ake India more attractive for Starbucks to pursue rather than China. Although there are similarities, such as tea having a larger consumption rate over coffee, the Indian and Chinese markets are very different. India has a large coffee drinking population and has more acceptance of western ideas, products and industry in general. Taking back into consi deration the 10 factors that influence the spread of innovation, it would be much easier to penetrate into the Indian market, both in large cities and smaller communities. Although it would still be a difficult market to get into, it would be a more successful venture than China.

The Meanings of Sarah Palins Childrens Unusual Names

The Meanings of Sarah Palin's Children's Unusual Names Many questions have been raised about the unusual names of Sarah Palins children . They werent randomly chosen. In fact, the former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate and her husband, Todd Palin, selected names that reflect the familys personal history and shared passions. Track Palin Track, the familys first-born son, was given that name because of the familys longstanding interest in sports. Sarahs parents were coaches, Todd was a high school athlete, and Sarah is an avid runner. Their first child was born during the track season. Track made news in January 2016 when he was charged in a domestic violence case in which his girlfriend said he punched her and threatened suicide. Palin was charged with three misdemeanors and pleaded guilty on a weapons charge. The other charges were dismissed. Sarah said her son’s arrest stemmed from post-traumatic stress disorder after a military deployment in Iraq. In December 2017 Track was charged with felony burglary, fourth degree assault against his father, and criminal mischief for causing property damage  at his parents home. According to court documents, the dispute was over a truck that Track wanted to borrow; his father declined because Track allegedly had been drinking and taking pain medicine. He was ordered to spend a year in custody in October 2018 after a third alleged assault when a judge ruled the allegation disqualified him from a therapeutic veterans program following a previous assault case. Bristol Palin The couples oldest daughter is named after Bristol Bay, an area where Todd grew up. Bristol Bay is also the site of the familys commercial fishing interests. Willow and Piper Palin The Palins havent identified the significance of their other two daughters names, but the meaning is likely rooted in aspects of the regions culture and way of life. Willow is the name of a small Alaskan community near the family home in Wasilla. Piper may have come from the name of the popular bush plane the Piper Cub, which is commonly used in Alaska. In a People magazine interview, Todd was quoted as saying, Theres just not too many Pipers out there, and its a cool name. Trig Paxson Van Palin Trig Paxson Van Palin is the couples youngest child. Web Based Health Information Analysis Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Web Based Health Information Analysis - Essay Example The HON criteria include privacy, transparency, attribution and authority (http://www.hon.ch/HONcode/Conduct.html). This health website has no privacy because anyone can easily access it including young children and this is against the HON criteria as it is risky for underage children without proper preparation. The site hides no information from the general public and hence can be considered to be transparent in its own way and according to the criteria set by HON. As far as the website is concerned, there is no attribution whatsoever and thus the credentials of the website are questionable. It has many followers because it is easily accessible and hence has a bit of authority as far as online health information is concerned. This website therefore has not fulfilled all the criterion requirements that are stipulated by HON’s code of conduct for health websites and therefore something should be done about that because it is not helpful to the public who do not have any idea whether the website meets the criteria or not (Larson, 2011). Even though this epilepsy website does not fulfill all the stipulated criteria of HON, the much it has not fulfilled can be worked on quickly and hence have it included in the patient teaching program as a resource since this website compared to other epilepsy website contains much more information and fulfills most of the criteria put out by HON to health websites (Cullen, 2006). The inclusion in the patient teaching program will however depend on the website owners and whether or not they are willing to fulfill the unfulfilled HON criteria and do it as soon as possible. If they agree, then it can be included but if they don’t, then doubts will be raised whether it really qualifies or

Summary of us vs morris 928 F .2d 504 (2d cir 1991) - Essay Example According to the appellant, the most that he could have been guilty of was exceeding his authorized access, a far less serious offence (US vs Morris 1991). Affirming the lower court’s conviction, the appellate court examined the legislative history of the 1986 Act. The 1986 amends a previous 1984 legislative provision which called for prosecution of persons who knowingly gained unauthorized access to federal interest computers and caused damages and prevented authorized use of the computer. The appellate court felt that the reason for the change from knowingly to intentionally was to ensure that persons who carelessly, mistakenly, or inadvertently gained unauthorized access to federal interest computers would not be caught by the act. Moreover, the mens rea of knowingly might not be appropriate in cases where computer technology was involved (US vs Morris 1991). However, the appellate court did not feel that the legislative intent to preclude inadvertent, mistaken and careless access to federal interest computers from criminal prosecutions in an appropriate case.

The plans, procedures, practices and policies of related to human resource come under this HR management system. An ERP system should be in place to manage all the record and data related to each and every employee of the organization. This will help to analyze the performance of each individual and also to analyze the performance of a whole workgroup. The managers can evaluate the current performance by comparing it with the previous trends which would be easily accessible form the ERP system. The policies and procedures should be put together in the system so that certain HR function may be automated and data can be updated automatically. An example of such system can be an automated attendance system for employees. An employ ee marks his or her attendance on his arrival in the office and marks his/her departure time. This is a small example that can automate one of the human resource practices in the organization. Implementation of such automated system should be the part of human resource planning in order to avoid the wastage of time due to manual work. In this way the resources can be utilized any other productive activity. Environmental Analysis After strengthening the internal systems the analysis of internal and external environment is done in the next phase of human resource planning. The collection of data related to the industry, technology, competition, unemployment rate, inflation rate, labor market trends and economy is required to be collected and an analysis of the past trends should be done. This analysis will become the foundation for the decision regarding the human resource management in the organization. In this competitive business environment, organization attracts the skilled labor as the key to success is the skilled workforce. Organizations should continuously analyze the human resource practices of the competitors in order to facilitate their employees with the same or even higher to keep them loyal to the organization. As if this is not the case then the employee will leave the organization and will join the other who is offering good compensation and other facilities. Analyzing the economy trend and inflation rates will help to determine that how much organization has to raise the salaries of the employees in the future. Forecasting Human Resource Demand The future needs and types of the employees are forecasted in the next phase of human resource planning process. For instance the analysis of the industry and the labor market will help to evaluate that how well the labor market will fulfill the future needs of the organization. It is quite possible that organization may need the skilled business development officers in the coming year and the analysis indicate that this need will not be fulfilled by the labor market. Resource based strategy allows the organization to identify those resources which are able to give a competitive advantage to the organization over the other firms. After the identification of these resources the efficient utilization of them is planned through multiple strategies. Every organization possess certain resources which can give them a leading edge over the others in the market, the need is to recognize those resources. At times the organizations having so many resources which can give competitive advantage fail to succeed in the market. The major reason behind that is that organization do not identify or recognize or give importance to these resources and they use such resources inefficiently which causes the failure of those organizations. At Barclays Pakistan, this strategy is used to identify the re sources which brings a short term competitive advantage in to a long term and sustainable competitive advance which is not imitated or copied by the other organizations. Superior value is created by efficiently using the resources and a leading edge is taken over the competitors that are the reason that in 3 years Barclays has been in a very good financial position and is among the leading banks operating in Pakistan. Sustainable Competitive Advantage The major focus of the resource based strategy of Barclays Pakistan should be to attain a sustainable competitive advantage. This will allow the newly established bank in Pakistani market to gain more experience and a market leadership position in the future. At the moment there are other Pakistani local banks which are having a leading position and a huge customer as well as deposit base. For Barclays to achieve that position is not an impossible task as with an international banking experience and by identification of resources responsible for sustainable competitive advantage, the leading position in the market can be attained. Distinctive Capabilities According to the new resource based view, the changing market conditions and their responses from the organizations determine the effectiveness of sustainable competitive advantage. For Barclays Pakistan, responding to the changes in the market condition would be very necessary in order to maintain the effectiveness of sustainable completive advantage. The bank has to build the distinctive capabilities which will maintain a sustainable competitive advantage in the market. Leadership There is a difference between a leader and a manager. A leader is not only a manager, but is a role model for the others in the organization. It was said that leaders are not made rather they are born, but the studies proven this wrong as innovation and research in human resource management revealed that leaders can be built by effective human resource practices. Barclays need to build the leader from their employees as everyone has the capability of being a good leader. The bank should engage their employees in to different training and development programs which enable them to work in a competitive environment with a team spirit. Having such leadership qualities in the workforce will definitely lead them to gain a huge competitive advantage over the other banks in the country. Systemic and radical Innovation To get continuous success in the modern business world innovation is very important. The firm who do not innovate their products and services do not sustain in the market for long. This is because the customers needs and demands are changing very rapidly and to meet those demands the organizations had to offer new products. Barclays has been catering their customers in other countries very efficiently and in Pakistani market the bank needs innovation in the products and services according to the local needs and demands. The saving trend in Pakistan is not at the higher side as most of the people are hand to mouth and they spent whatever they earn, so the products and service offerings should be designed by keeping in mind this major factor of Pakistani market. Innovation should be in a systematic way, as Pakistans banking sector has seen a tremendous growth in the past one decade and now the need is to invent the essential features of the banking busi ness. Barclays Pakistan can become the pioneer of this radical innovation and gain the huge customers attention and can increase its profits. Resource and Competence-based Strategy Today, customer is considered as the king, meeting their needs and demands is the primary objectives of all the organizations. Resource based strategy leads the organization to achieve such competencies which assures the fulfillment of needs and demands of the customers. Analyzing the half SWOT, i.e. strengths and weaknesses of the organization helps to overcome the internal weaknesses and capitalizing the strengths to serve the customers in a best possible way. Identifying the valuable resources and gaining the winning competencies combination allows the organization to innovate and design such offering for the customers which meet their needs and demands. The available valuable resources are utilized by the organization in an efficient and productive manner and can be used for innovating products and services. This will enable the organization to maintain a competitive and leading position in the market. By analyzing the weaknesses an organization can gain the completive advantage by following cost leadership strategies and overcoming those weaknesses which are responsible for the wastage of the time and valuable resources of the organization. By saving the valuable resources an organization is able to utilize them in serving the customers in a better way. This makes the organization unique from the others and helps to increase the market share. Resource and competence-based approaches are particularly valuable when the boundaries of the business can be changed through, for example: Considering Make versus Buy alternatives Entering new markets around the globe Installment of new technologies Adversity is at hand. Achieving sustainable competitive advantage. You need innovation to improve your business. Best utilization of your resources in plans to achieve your objectives. Linking business and HR strategy Businesses today demand a strong relationship between the human resource and organizational strategies. The business whose personnel policies and procedures lead towards the achievement of organization strategies and objectives are successful. This relationship is the major contributor in creating the value of the organization. The policies and procedures of the human resource department of an organization should focus towards the employee training and development and introduction and innovation of career paths which corresponds to the corporate objectives of the organization. In the past the purpose of human resource department was only to manage and maintain the data of the employees in the organization, but with the passage of time the major purpose of the human resource became to develop a skilled and strong workforce that can give a competitive advantage to the organization. Skilled workforce one of those factors which cannot be imitated by the other organization and thus the co mpetitive advantage become sustainable for a longer period of time.
